Tettegouche Lodge is a secluded 32-acre property near Finland, MN with a spacious 8-bedroom, 7-bathroom vacation rental house nestled into the hills three miles inland from Lake Superior. A spectacular stretch of the Baptism River runs through the property directly below the Lodge with ideal, private fly fishing locations and a swimming hole. Tettegouche (pronounced Tet-a-gooch) means “gathering place” in French and with a capacity of up to 18 guests, the Lodge is perfect for multi-generational or multi-family North Shore vacations, yoga or corporate retreats, intimate Northwoods weddings, writing, art or photography workshops, and book club or scrapbooking getaways.

Key information to know before you book:

• Minimum night stay requirements: 6 nights mid-June through mid-August (remaining summer 2024 dates only require 4 nights); 3 nights the rest of the year
• Capacity Limit: Maximum of 18 adults are allowed to stay in the lodge with no more than 4 daytime visitors (so if you are planning an intimate Northwoods wedding or other small event the total attendees limit is 22)
• Age limit: All Guest groups must have an adult at 25 years of age or older in order to rent the property.
• Parking: Only 9 cars are allowed to ensure emergency vehicles can easily access the lodge.
• Deposit/Cancellation Policy: Deposit is 50% of the total nightly lodge rates. If Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation, the deposit will be refunded as follows:
  • 100% if cancelled at least 60 days prior to the Arrival Date
  • 50% if cancelled between 30-60 days prior to Arrival Date
  • Inside 30 days prior to the Arrival Date, the full fee will be forfeited
• Getting here: Lodge is 1 hour and 20 minutes north of the Duluth Airport and 3.5 hours from Minneapolis/St. Paul
• Pets: As much as we love our furry friends, we do not allow pets at the Lodge so that we can ensure the house will be in tip-top condition for guests.
• Check in procedures: 4:00 pm check-in time and you will receive your personal door code in advance of your stay to let yourself in
• Check out procedures: 10:00 am check-out time. Just start the dishwasher, take out the garbage, check for all of your belongings, and get on the road (cleaning fee is applied to all reservations)
